Everyone who wishes to practise receives initiation into the authentic technique of Kriya Yoga directly from the master or from a monk or teacher authorised by him. In this lineage there are no courses or correspondence lessons.
Upcoming seminarsThose who wish to receive initiation are encouraged to “prepare their field” by getting to know the teachings of the masters: Paramahamsa Hariharananda and Paramahamsa Prajnanananda.
A good start is a subscription to the online magazine Soul Culture (free of charge at kriya.org, in English) or reading a book by Hariharananda, Prajnanananda or “Autobiography of a Yogi” by Paramahansa Yogananda.
Usually on Friday evening, about 90 minutes. Open to everyone.
Transmission of the authentic Kriya Yoga technique by an authorised teacher.
At least three meditations led by the teacher. Then individual and group practice in your city.
The ancient tradition of transmission begins with the purification of the spine and the whole body. Each seeker is initiated individually, in direct contact with a teacher of this lineage.
The teacher helps to perceive the three divine aspects: sound, light and vibration. The ceremony is conducted in the language of the seminar.
The disciple offers the teacher three gifts as an offering to God and the masters.
Before initiation the disciple fills in a form for the newly initiated. We ask you not to disclose the techniques to others, in order to keep them pure.
We encourage the newly initiated to take part in at least three meditations with the teacher and in the weekly group meditations.
